Climate Reality Talks
"Climate Reality Talks" is a project that was born from the collaboration between academia and civil society organizations to raise awareness about the climate reality that we are experiencing, particularly in Guayaquil.
Climate Reality Leaders from Universidad ECOTEC and Líderes Hub, with the support of Global Shapers Guayaquil, join forces to address issues such as: cochineal, sinkholes and sustainable actions.

These are the training courses developed in the period 2023 - 2024:
- On October 21, 2023, 60 entrepreneurs, scholarship recipients of the "MAKERS" program of Líderes Hub, were trained.
- On November 18, 2023, 20 visitors were trained at the market organized by the Mayor's Office of Samborondó, the US Embassy in Ecuador and Líderes Hub, called "Makers Market". But it is worth noting that 11 volunteers from Global Shapers Guayaquil also received the induction to be able to participate in this activity, adding up to a total of 101 people trained in 2023.
- On May 20, 2024, 54 people from Guayas and Santa Elena were trained through our talk, which was part of the agenda for sustainability week, organized by the Mayor's Office of Santa Elena and the "Inspira Ecuador" Alumni Network of the Embassy and Consulate of the United States in Ecuador. In this virtual training, representatives of the Santa Elena Mayor's Office were also trained. Our talk was the main and opening conference of this citizen initiative.
